Join Michelle & Abby to celebrate the Winter Solstice, the first day of winter, and the longest night of the year. The Winter Solstice is the day of the year with the most darkness, and is caused by the tilt of the earth in relation to the sun. On the longest night of the year, also called Midwinter, or Yule, we are celebrating the return of the sun. This day marks the time of year when days begin to get longer again, and we are blessed with more hours of sunlight.
In this ceremony, we’ll celebrate rebirth and renewal, and reflect upon the darker days since the Autumnal Equinox. Our circle will open with calling in the Four Directions, followed by a guided meditation, a tarot pull to give clarity of intention for the newly sun-filled days, and journaling. Please bring anything sacred or special to you to add to our communal altar.
