Moving the Spirit: Dance the 5Rhythms Series – 2nd & 4th Saturdays In September & October | 7:30-9:30pm
Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms® are coming back to the city for the first time in four years! Join Richard Jerram for this 4-part series on the 5Rhythms. Come for all four, or just for one!
The 5Rhythms® of Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness are different ways of moving that embody different ways of being in the world. Together, they form ‘The Wave’ – a simple practice that encourages us to find our own unique dance. Come and explore different ways of moving and embodying feeling, and discover yourself at your most fluid and creative level. There are no steps to learn and these classes for anyone, regardless of age, fitness, or ability. Newcomers and old-timers equally welcome!
Richard Jerram brings heart, humor, and 14 years experience of weaving demonstrations and exercises into a field of movement and evoking the Rhythms in each dancer through an eclectic blend of music. Join Richard in this simple and profound movement practice where we meet to move, to find ourselves at our most fluid and creative level, and to dance into life.
Places are limited. We strongly recommend that you pre-book to avoid disappointment! Please bring water & clothing in layers to accommodate movement & stillness. Dance shoes or barefeet only, please (please no street shoes or socks).

Bring yourself and a willingness to dive into deep opening in the physical and energetic body. This class is for practitioners familiar with yoga – experience in Forrest is recommended but not necessary!

As Fall returns, so does Running Season!! As much as we love hitting the pavement, running can be a love/hate relationship on the body, causing muscle tightness, soreness, and nagging injuries. This workshop is designed specifically for runners to prevent common injuries, although it could be enjoyed by all athletes and yoga enthusiasts.
We will begin with an all body dynamic flow sequence to warm up the body and get the muscles loose. This will be follwed by a workshop focusing on yoga-inspired preventative maintenance exercises to stretch and strengthen supporting muscles. These tools will help to avoid common running injuries, like; Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, tight IT bands, lower back tension, pulled hamstrings, & runners knee, just to name a few. So whether you are a seasoned marathoner or just starting out for your first 5K, join Ari on your mat to refresh your body for the long road ahead.

Looking for a fun way to connect with your loved one? Join Abby and Jonathan for a 2.5-Hour workshop that will include playful partner yoga and massage. Expect a yoga practice led by Jonathan and assisted by Abby, and partner massage guided by Abby (a Licensed Massage Therapist). Play in partner yoga postures, and then learn basic massage skills & methods that’ll bring some extra sweetness into your touch!
Bring your partner, your spouse, a sibling, or a friend! All levels of yoga practitioner welcome.
